About the Pastor

Pastor Carnela Renee Hill is a Willing Vessel and a Contagious Christian whose passion and desire is to preach and teach the Word of God in unconventional places. When writing her first book, God revealed to Pastor Carnela that He had placed a calling on her life as a teenager.

Pastor Carnela accepted the call into ministry and also acknowledged the prophetic gifting on her life in 2017. She was licensed as a minister in 2020; following a heritage of ministers and elders, including her grandfather, Reverend Havord Lee Hill, Sr. and great-grandfather, Elder Abram Hill.

Originally from Wilson, N.C., Pastor Carnela resides in Raleigh, N.C. Prior to establishing her church, Pastor Hill attended Wake Chapel Church in Raleigh, N.C. and faithfully served in ministry under the leadership of Senior Pastor Sharon Dean. Pastor Hill served on the Legal & Political Action ministry, co-led the Entrepreneurial ministry, and served as a ministry leader for Thrive Youth Church.

Pastor Hill is the author of Walking Afraid. The book chronicles her journey from corporate America to entrepreneurship and her experiences with fear, hurt, and rejection to walking in faith, wisdom, resilience, and triumph. The Walking Afraid 30-Day Action Plan guides readers in finding the courage to act and journal their steps with God through the use of scriptures and pointed questions. In 2020, The Walking Afraid Intensive Bootcamp was birthed. It later expanded into a devotional group.

Pastor Hill is a collaborating author on several books, including The Fight, a compilation of the lives of strong women who have overcome many obstacles in life and remained steadfast. She is also a licensed Chaplain and a certified International Coaching Federation coach.

Pastor Hill has a diverse educational background. She holds the following degrees and certifications.

• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), UNC Chapel Hill

• Master’s certificate in Project Management, George Washington University

• Master’s in Christian Practices, Duke University Divinity School

Outside of ministry, Pastor Hill runs a successful interior design firm. She was blessed to have decorated at the White House for Christmas, which was featured on HGTV in 2015. Pastor Hill is a transformational coach, political and business strategist, and an advocate for women, small businesses & education. She is an inspirational and motivational speaker.

Pastor Hill loves family time, traveling and making a difference through missions. She understands her life is based upon being a servant first. Pastor Hill has been called by God to go into the marketplace and spread the good news nationally and internationally through ministry, speaking engagements, mentoring, and philanthropy. In 2022, the missions and ministry work sent her on a pilgrimage to Italy and Israel. Her motto is, “LORD, show me how to be an answer.” Her favorite scripture is 1 Samuel 3:9, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” Pastor Hill’s prayer is that others will clearly hear and receive the message God has for them.
